The forum is up and running but discussion can only be based on praises, concerns, and general discussion not actual user comments yet as it is not approved for sale.
Flibanserin is a trial medication being developed for the treatment of hypoactive sexual desire disorder in women. It was originally being developed to treat depression but came across this side effect with many of the women in the clinical trials. Upon further testing it was established that this indeed is what it is doing to female patients. Flibanserin does not work in a similar fashion to any male counterpart drugs to treat ED, rather it tends to increase the desire and in studies showed more sexually satisfying experiences compared to women using the placebo. A benefit with this treatment is that is a non hormonal treatment.
It is said that perhaps 10% to 20% of women could benefit from such a treatment but that testing is not over yet. If all goes well it will still have to be submitted to the FDA for approval before it could ever be available by visiting your doctor. This process still could take a couple years if all goes smoothly.
