BigNews.Biz - Mar 04,2010 - John Moynagh graduated from Westfield State College in 1986, with a BS degree in Criminal Justice. He began his career working for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for the state of Massachusetts as an adjuster. Later he was promoted to the special investigation unit, which was responsible for investigating all aspects of internal and external fraud. He was a member of The International Association of Arson and Auto Theft Investigators. He later transferred to South Florida as an adjuster handling liability and worker’s compensation claims. When Hurricane Andrew hit South Florida in 1992, he was transferred to the property and commercial lines department. He received extensive training with Liberty Mutual for homeowners and commercial lines claims handling.
In 1995, John Moynagh went to work for CJW & Associates as an independent property adjuster. During his time with CJW & Associates, John handled thousands of claims for 50+ insurance companies in South Florida. His territory includes some the wealthiest and most impoverished counties in South Florida. In the 13 years John was employed with CJW & Associates, he handled additional hurricane claims, including: Hurricane Francis, Hurricane Jeanne, and Hurricane Wilma. During this time with CJW & Associates, John maintained between 75-150 claims at a time. He was required to complete detailed reports, estimates of damage, and determination of coverage to the insurance carriers.
In the summer of 2008, John left CJW & Associates to open his own Public Adjusting Firm. He is a current member of FAPIA (Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters). Over the last two years, John has helped numerous home owners and businesses recover monies for their insurance losses. These losses include: hurricane supplements, flood, pipe breaks, fire, and theft.
A Public Adjuster is hired by the home and/or business owner to represent their interests when filing an insurance claim with their insurance carrier. Of importance in John’s background is the 20+ years of experience working for the insurance companies. John has taken his extensive knowledge in claims filing, estimate writing, investigative skills, and coverage reading to help individuals receive maximum compensation for their claims.
John’s contacts within the insurance companies of South Florida, has been invaluable in helping the insured’s navigate through the claims process. It has been his experience that insurance companies want to pay for covered claims. Most problems exist between the direct correspondence between the home/business owner and the insurance company’s representative, which leads to delays, denials, and insufficient reimbursement of their claims. This also causes for the home/business owner and a broken relationship between the insurance company representative and the insured. John’s skill’s help produce quick and maximum payments from the insurance companies.
