BigNews.Biz - Jul 08,2009 - Get down and dirty with the best of them! Don’t miss your chance to be part of the upcoming 14th Annual SEB Mud Run on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic, California.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau SWAT team hosts this family event. Their premier sponsor is the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Athletic Association (LASAA).
The 5plus mile course has several muddy obstacles include a low crawl pit (on your stomach), cargo net climb, whoop-de-do’s and the monster mud pit. There is also a 1mile course for kids—what kid doesn’t love playing in the mud!
This mud run emphasizes teamwork and having a good time. The course is designed to enable people of all fitness levels to compete. You don’t have to be an elite athlete to participate. All pre-registered participants will receive a high quality Mud Addiction T-Shirt.
Uniform for the day is cargo pants/jeans and boots. You MUST be in proper attire to win an award. Winners will receive LASAA specially selected medals and a distinctive plaque.
Running categories are as follows: open male individual, open female individual, law enforcement team/fire department team, mixed team (minimum 2 females), female team, over 40 male individual, over 40 female individual, over 40 open team, over 40 mixed team (minimum 2 females), and an explorer team.
There will be music throughout the day. Food and beverages will be available for purchase after the race. It’s the perfect event for the entire family!
