The outlet is all set to open its doors on 21st March, 2017 to usher in the Persian New Year that falls between 20th to 27th March and is celebrated world-wide heralding the arrival of spring. As part of the festivities, diners can enjoy a special discount of 35 per cent during the period on all items on the menu. This offer can be availed for dinner served from 7pm until midnight.
However, Bahar is open from 12 noon until mid-night and also offers a tempting afternoon tea menu featuring a superb selection of traditional tea flavours from Iran.
During Nowruz the highlight of the celebrations will be the Haft Seen (Seven S’s) ritual whereby people will gather around a table laden with seven items that symbolize hope, health and prosperity. These include sabzeh (wheat or barley), samanu (sweet pudding), seer (garlic), somaq (mumac fruit), seeb (apple), sekeh (coin), and senjed (olives).

The main inspiration of Mr. Mehran Samadpour, Managing Partner of Bahar, was to open an Iranian restaurant in Dubai Marina that will allow residents and visitors to experience the ﬁne-dining of one of the oldest cultures in the Middle East. Elaborating on the concept, Mr. Mehran Samadpour stressed, “Food and hospitality are an integral part of Persian culture and at Bahar diners will be treated to authentic home-style dishes cooked with traditional methods with a contemporary twist.
