Bearfoot Rocks Accordions and Banjos for an "American Story"
ALBUQUERQUE, NM--The Summer Nights Concert Series returns to the ABQ BioPark for its fifteenth season, kicking off with Bearfoot. Each Thursday, June 14 - August 23, enjoy music, food and fun at the Botanic Garden.
Bearfoot brings their Americana, bluegrass and folk harmonies to the Botanic Garden on June 14. The ensemble of five has yet to celebrate their first anniversary, and they have already released a dynamic bluegrass album entitled American Story.
"Bearfoot has a lot of energy and great unconventional, commanding songs," said Maryann Torrez, Special Events and Operations Manager. "I think families at Summer Nights will enjoy the stories and music this talented young group offers."
Nora Jane Struthers (vocalist), Angela Oudean (fiddle), Jason Norris (mandolin), PJ George (bass) and Todd Grebe (guitar) charm audiences with inspired, fresh lyrics and sounds.
In addition, the Ritzy Rouge Hula Hoop Troupe will be at the Botanic Garden every Thursday and the Clan Tynker Family Circus will join the fun on June 21, 28, July 5, 12, 19 and 26.
The Aquarium and all of the Botanic Garden, including the Heritage Farm and Japanese Garden, are open until 8 p.m. The Butterfly Pavilion is not open for this event. Guests are welcome to bring blankets, folding chairs and picnics. Food will be available for purchase. Beer and wine are also available onsite. Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
