BigNews.Biz - Jun 01,2012 - Paul 2, Perry 0 in Senate Endorsements
I haven’t seen this pointed out anywhere else so I figured this was the place to do it.
Both Ron Paul and Texas Governor Rick Perry have made endorsements in two high profile U.S. Senate races recently.
In Minnesota’s Senate race, Ron Paul endorsed Kurt Bills in the Republican Primary. Gov. Perry endorsed Bills’ opponent Pete Hegseth.
Bills won.
In Texas Senate race, Ron Paul endorsed Ted Cruz in the Republican Primary. Gov. Perry endorsed Cruz’ opponent David Dewhurst.
Cruz is now in a runoff against Dewhurst–exactly what Dewhurst had hoped to avoid.
Virtually everyone saw Tuesday’s results in Texas as a big win for Cruz.
Both of these races were also wins for Ron Paul. They were also losses for Gov. Perry.
It’s easy to see which Texan is having more influence on the future and direction of the Republican Party.

America is the greatest nation in human history. Our respect for individual liberty, free markets, and limited constitutional government produced the strongest, most prosperous country in the world. But, we have drifted far from our founding principles, and America is in crisis. Ron Paul’s “Restore America” plan slams on the brakes and puts America on a return to constitutional government. It is bold but achievable. Through the bully pulpit of the presidency, the power of the Veto, and, most importantly, the united voice of freedom-loving Americans, we can implement fundamental reforms.
