These switches are ideal for connecting workgroups and clusters of IT users in different locations. This product is used for LAN Switching, LAN extension in offices and for Internet access over fiber.

This approach reduces network complexity and lowers maintenance cost.”
XKNECT’s UTP interface features a non-blocking switching architecture that filters and forwards packets at full wire-speed for maximum throughput. This is a plug and play device making the installation hassle-free. The switch has 1K MAC address table and provides 512Kb buffering capabilities. The auto MDI/MDI-X crossover on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables or uplink ports. The switch also features diagnostic LEDs which display status and activity, allowing network administrators to quickly detect and correct problems on the network.
VMC’s XKNECT switches will be available in five different configurations – SW8-X0F8, SW8-X1F7, SW8-X2F6. They are designed for compactness and ease of installation - a key requirement for any SME or ISP.
