Nappanee Mayor Endorses Lugar
Larry Thompson, mayor of Nappanee, is the 46th Republican mayor, town board president and former mayor to endorse Sen. Dick Lugar's 2012 re-election. Thompson and his wife Linda were on-hand to welcome Lugar to a weekend fundraiser in Elkhart County.
NAPPANEE, IND. - "We are fortunate to have Dick Lugar in the U.S. Senate cutting spending, fighting Obamacare, championing jobs and protecting Hoosier values," Nappanee Mayor Larry Thompson said today. "Senator Lugar has a distinguished record of accomplishment on behalf of Indiana and America. We should keep him."
Thompson is the 46th Republican mayor, former mayor and town board president to endorse Lugar's re-election.
"Senator Lugar and I have both been on local schools boards and mayors of two great cities," Thompson said. "I know Dick Lugar will continue to work for all of us in Indiana. I encourage fellow Hoosiers - especially those in Elkhart County - to join me in supporting Senator Lugar."
