To overcome this problem, MCA has opted for sand based outfield developed departmentally with technical assistance from STRI Limited, U.K. This technology facilitates faster drainage of rain water and in order to achieve this, a geo-textile fabric has been installed above the ground and perforated PVC pipes have been laid down to slope in trenches. The system has been successfully tested. Even during the heavy showers, water on the outfield drained out fast making it ready for play again just in some minutes.
