Mel Lifshitz’s Museum Adventures, though not personally written by Mel , is a reflection of his utter fascination of various histories, cultures, and great leaders immortalized into statues and photographs in the museums of the nations that he visits abroad. Mel wishes to share his experiences and discoveries to the online community.
The blog’s latest published post is entitled “Mel Lifshitz’ Museum Affair”, is a teaser entry that promises to feature two of Mel’s most favorite Israel museums – The Tower of David and Jerusalem Bible Lands Museum. Two separate entries will be published on the blog featuring each heritage center.
Mel Lifshitz visit to Menachem Begin Museum and Eretz Israel Museum are among the very first published entries on the blog. On the Menachem Begin Museum entry, Mel’s fascination to former Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin was revealed. The heritage center is a living memorial and the nation’s tribute to a courageous fighter and fearless leader who worked for the freedom, future and security of the Jewish People in its own land.
On the other hand, an entry about Eretz Israel Museum highlighted its Ceramics Pavilion, a gallery inside the museum that showcases how pottery was made, decorated, and used throughout the ages, and has a reconstructed dwelling from biblical times complete with pots.
